Group Run Frequently Asked Questions


  • Are these runs free?

    • Yes, all of our group runs are free.

  • Is it truly all paces?  

    • Yes!  There is a bell curve of paces ranging from 7 min/mile pace runners up to 13 min/mile pace runners.  The largest groups tend to range between 8-10 min pace. There are usually walking groups too, based on who is coming back from injury or recovering from a marathon.

  • How many people show up?  

    • Generally between 50 and 100 runners show up at any given run.  Oftentimes more, rarely less

  • Any best practices for those showing up for the first time?

    • Come 10 minutes early, we’ll show you where you can store your things, give directions to the restrooms, and have you sign our waiver

    • Put yourself out there! This is a welcoming group, full of runners who are new to the area and/or the community.  It’s a great way to meet new people–just be willing to put yourself out there!

  • Where can I park?

    • Street parking is widely available near both stores.

  • When are your runs?

    • Check out our group run schedule.

  • What are the distances?

    • MCR 2, 4, 5, 7 miles - We all start together for the first mile and a half, and peel off from there

    • SCR 2, 3.5, 4.5, 6.5 miles - We all start together for the first mile and a half, and peel off from there

  • Do you do workouts or just easy runs?

    • If you’re interested in a harder effort, check out our Race Team.  The MCR Race Team trains and races together throughout the year.
