Shakeouts in both Minneapolis and Duluth, an on-course cheer zone heard from a nautical mile away, and reverence for the Mother Superior. Prepare for a massive sesh Grandma’s weekend.

While Duluth gets most of the shine this weekend, that doesn’t mean we’ll miss out on a great Minneapolis running tradition. Join Mill City & On as we shakeout along our own major body of water, Ol’ Man River.

Apres-run, we’ll have donuts and coffee for runners…perfecting their carb-to-caffeine ratio.

Mill City Running - 411 E. Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis MN 55414

Cast your gaze North, we’re going to Duluth.

Along with Tracksmith, Mill City will co-host a short (2 & 3 mile options) shakeout from the legendary Back Alley Surf Shop in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Duluth. Quench your running and retail thirst after with complimentary coffee courtesy of Tracksmith, and a pop-up experience that includes the return of Threshold Vintage—our collection of one-of-a-kind vintage running pieces.

Back Alley Surf & Coffee - 2409 W Superior St, Duluth, MN 55806

Two Mile Loop | Three Mile Loop

A Mill City cheer zone isn’t so much a place, but a euphoric state of being where runners lose track of pace, spectators cheer to exhaustion, and a delicate truce is agreed upon with the nearest course marshal.

Perfectly placed as marathoners approach mile 24, you’ll find us cheering, dancing, screaming, speaking in tongues (maybe?), and the flags…there will be so many flags – the vibes will be immaculate. Bring your voice and something that makes noise once you can’t scream any longer.

Sir Benedict’s Tavern - 805 E Superior Street

Recharge with the On and Mill City crew as we host medal portraits and the most Duluth recovery session imaginable on Sunday morning. We’ll be serving up complimentary coffee from Duluth’s own Underwood and have an on-site mobile sauna from Sauna du Nord, all steps away from the world’s largest freshwater cold plunge.

Park Point - 12th Street Beach - 1200 S Lake Avenue
