Bring Your Old Running Shoes to City Running

Have old athletic shoes you don't know what to do with? We can recycle them! It's as easy as bringing them into either of our locations and dropping them off - that's it.

Note: While not needed it can save us a little bit of time if you lace each pair together so they don't get separated.

 

What happens to my shoes?

We box them up with a bunch of other shoes and ship them out to our partners at Sneaker Impact.

From there they grade and sort them on a scale of almost new to end-of-life.

The end-of-life sneakers are broken down into their components where the circular materials and reintroduced into future products.

 

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Unfortunately we are only able to send athletic shoes or “sneakers” to Sneaker Impact.

  • Nope! There is no fee or charge to recycle your shoes.

  • We also partner locally with Mile in My Shoes and source shoes for runners in their program. It works the same way - just bring them into the store.
